At UMA, we do things a little differently! We focus on our students' creativity and interests through hands-on, experiential learning opportunities. Our mission: to build a collaborative community engaging lifelong learners in active, authentic experience. UMA is a 6-12 public charter school in St. Paul, MN.

Batson Hospital for Children on the University of Mississippi Medical Center Campus. The run is intended to show support for the patients and staff at Mississippi's only children's hospital. 8 YEAR OLD MARY-LAINE DYKSTERHOUSE WRITES A 20-PAGE 8 CHAPTER BOOK TITLED "THE MAGIC MYSTERY". DYKSTERHOUSE IS IN 3RD GRADE AND IS A STUDENT AT PILLOW ACADEMY IN GREENWOOD MISSISSIPPI. SHE SAYS THE BOOK IS ABOUT TWO ORPHANS WHO RUN AWAY FROM THEIR ORPHANAGE.
